to Use The CheckMate on the New $10
Begin
by familiarizing yourself with real Canadian money and observe the moiré
(wavelike) effect produced when you examine the bill under the CheckMate.
Note: - Real bills are uniform in quality. Counterfeits
are inconsistent and vary in the quality of the paper and printing methods
used.
On the Front
of the Bill.

Place
and position the CheckMate flat on the bill over the building (as
shown below).

Slightly
rotate the CheckMate back and forth. Notice the distinct moiré (wavelike)
patterns. See Example A.

Rotate
The CheckMate will reveal clear, sharp lines:

HOW
TO USE THE CHECKMATE TO SPOT FAKE BILLS
- Examine
the FRONT on the bill.
- Place
the CheckMate flat on the bill (as shown above). Then, rotate the CheckMate
slowly back and forth..
- Examine
the moiré patterns (see Example A
above).
